![]() ![]() Drawing, therefore, can be seen as a surrogate replication on paper of the intellectual (architecture) and constructional (building). ![]() It argues that rather than being a distinct mediator between architecture (the contribution of the mind) and building (the physical realization of architecture), drawing involves both. The paper discusses the relationship between drawing and architecture and uses some of the author's own photographs and drawings as illustrations. The paper begins with a review of drawing's use as a medium of communication and as a medium for the generation, development and refinement of design it then focuses on drawing's use as a medium for analysing examples. Drawing has been much discussed as a medium for design and of communication in architecture, but the potential of its role as a medium for analysis, though recognized, has not enjoyed the same attention. This paper reflects on drawing as a medium for acquiring knowledge and understanding of the possibilities and workings of architecture by analysing examples. ![]()

I’m pleased to say that Young did get it right. Review: In YA, I’ve found, it’s hard to get fantasy (especially a series that feels like something one of the big epic fantasy writers would create) right. ☆: 4/5 – an lovely new spin on an old tale! Gosh darn it, I love all of these characters so much!!! I really wasn't kidding about rioting if anything happens to them. After a while, it kinda felt like SJM just wanted to introduce new things and didn't know how so she threw them into Danika's bag of secrets and called it a day.īut, whatever. Danika had a whole secret life, filled with so many secrets and people that Bryce never knew about. And honestly, it's because half the time most of those twists were coming entirely out of left field and it was all Danika's fault! I was getting second-hand embarrassment for Bryce every time something new was revealed about her supposed 'best friend'. While I did predict the outcome to several plot twists, like the identity of agent Daybright, there were a billion other twists that I didn't see coming, like that ending for which nothing could have prepared me for!!!!. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, a whole other layer of complications and magic and worldbuilding was added to the mix. ![]() I can't even count the number of times I had to put it down and walk away for a minute because I was scared to read what happened next.
